Omega Swaps Outs Matching Engine
Canadian alternative trading system (ATS) operator Omega ATS has gone live with the ThymeX matching engine from BRMS Holding—a holding company for Canadian electronic broker Swift Trade—in the first phase of Omega’s total upgrade of its ATS, officials tell SST.
ThymeX replaces the legacy matching engine from US platform provider Marlar Group. The legacy engine is the same that powered the Attain ECN in the US, says Eric Stoop, chairman of Omega ATS. ThymeX is the same engine that powers the Quote
