Morgan Stanley Building Is a Boon For New Owner--Lehman Brothers

NEW YORK--Lehman Brothers has bought Morgan Stanley's 32-floor, one million sq.-ft. building at 745 Seventh Ave. in New York after being displaced by the attacks on the World Trade Center last month (TTW, Sept. 24).
Morgan Stanley's building has been under construction since September 1999 and is scheduled to house six trading floors, comprising 2,000 trading positions. The fate of the floor technology is unclear. The first wave of 700 fixed-income traders was due to arrive as early as November
