TSI Software Acquires Braid For $91M; Messenger To Be Melded With Mercator

LONDON--At press time, TSI International Software announced that it will be acquiring the London-based middleware provider, Braid Group, for $91 million in cash and stocks. The acquisition is expected to close quickly and it is assumed that Braid's financial middleware will fill out TSI Software's line of mainstream middleware.
Braid was planning an independent IPO, says Peter Little, managing director for Braid. The TSI buyout accelerated that process by two years. Little says that there were
