Reuters' Business Transformation Speeds Up to Fend off Market Slowdown

EARNINGS REPORT

LONDON--Reuters is speeding up its business transformation program (formerly known as Project Gazelle) in an attempt to drive profit growth and fend off worsening market conditions. The same impetus is behind the vendor's push to accelerate cost cutting, largely by reducing staff levels by 1,100 over the next two years, according to Reuters' second quarter earnings call last week.

Last month Trading Technology Week revealed that around 600 staff would be laid off this summer, including 50 or 60
