Flat Panel Monitors Enable BZW To Fit 90 More Traders On Floor
OUTSIDE THE REGION
While Compaq Computer was debuting its TFT500 Flat Panel Monitors at a price point of $3,500 at the Securities Industry Association (SIA) show in New York late last month, across the Atlantic, BZW, the investment subsidiary of the London-based Barclays Bank group, was installing 1,200 of them in a new 70,000-square-foot trading room.
BZW appears to be part of a trend just under way this side of the Atlantic. Some of the early adopters of flat panel displays have been the New York Stock Exchange
