ABN Boosts Program Trading via Apama

LONDON—ABN Amro has bolstered its proprietary electronic trading platform, Risk Program Trading (RPT), by grafting Apama's trading strategy solution to it.

The combination of technologies will enhance the firm's advanced execution services (AES) and help the bank move toward its objective of being able to handle more order flow in a cost-effective manner, say ABN Amro officials.

The bank began a proof of concept in December 2003, and in the last few weeks has finished integrating Apama's solution
