Citi Gives $750M Desktop, LAN Management Contract To Digital, EDS

ENTERPRISE SYSTEMS

Citibank has awarded contracts to Digital Equipment and Electronic Data Systems as part of its global technology standardization plan. The undertaking has been named Project Enterprise, and under it Digital and EDS are managing and maintaining 60,000 of Citibank's desktop computers as well as 2,000 of its local area networks. The deal cost Citibank some $750 million dollars-$500 million to Digital, the rest to EDS.

Digital and EDS will work with Citicorp Global Inormation Network(CGIN), the bank
