Banks Look for Alternatives to Reuters’ RMDS

LONDON--Banks are increasingly looking for alternatives to Reuters Market Data System (RMDS), the market data distribution system combining parts of Triarch and Tibco, and its 3000 Xtra market data display application for off-the-trading-floor users. Reuters is pushing this combination as an enterprise solution for banks, but many clients think it is too expensive.

There are several viable alternatives to RMDS with 3000 Xtra, says Henry Young, director of IT consultancy Trading Systems
