Reuters/Tibco Team Plans Deliverables, Makes Strategic Decisions For Platform

REUTERS TRADING SYSTEMS

PALO ALTO, Calif.--The architecture team responsible for grafting together the best elements of Tibco's The Information Bus (TIB) and Reuters' Triarch 2000 digital data distribution platforms will have some short-term deliverables--timed to be available before the Year 2000 project freeze.

The team has also made some fundamental decisions about the unified Reuters trading platform to come in three years.

The major tactical and long-term goals of this architecture team were outlined by James Powell
