Quotron Developing Forex Transactional Products; Will Use Citicorp Information Business Software

Citicorp is taking one of Walter Wriston's five "I"s out of the bank.

On Jan. 1, Citicorp Information Business will become part of Quotron Systems Inc., the Los Angeles-based stock quote provider Citi acquired in 1986.

Quotron's arm's length relationship with Citibank will make it easier to market information and transactional services to the bank's competitors. The reorganization of Quotron and Citicorp Information Business coincides with the development of two new foreign exchange systems -- one
