Paremus Bottles Jini for Grid Computing
NERD ON THE STREET
LONDON—Ever since Sun Microsystems let the Jini networking architecture out of the bottle, there have been few takers among securities firms.
But U.K.-based software vendor Paremus is trying to change the situation by making the case for Jini as a key component of its enterprise grid offering, Infiniflow.
"Jini was the first service oriented architecture (SOA), pre-dating Web services by several years," says Richard Nicholson, chief technology officer (CTO) for Paremus. Jini will be pitched as
