Thebeast Lays Off Staff, Carrie Goes To Moneyline

ORGANIZATION AND STRATEGY

NEW YORK--Thebeast, a market data distribution and trading systems developer, has laid off about 10 staffers in a second round of layoffs in an effort to refocus on core products, including a new equity trading system. Its former president, Carl Carrie, has reportedly moved to Moneyline.

The layoffs mainly affected sales and marketing employees and included head of marketing Susan Fredericks. But Thebeast also cut staffers in quality assurance and development.

The cuts come after two earlier
