Tibco to Continue Selling Talarian’s Smart Products
ORGANIZATION AND STRATEGY
SAN FRANCISCO--Talarian, the messaging vendor acquired last month by Tibco Software, will offer its ‘Smart’-branded product lines as part of Tibco’s Active Enterprise product suite going forward, but they will largely be sold on a standalone basis, says Jayesh Shah, vice president at Tibco.
A number of Talarian executives will be retained. Tom Laffey, founder of Talarian, will continue on as a Tibco vice president. Tim Young, support manager, will continue to head up support services, while Jeff
