Investment Came At Right Time For Tradepoint, Sources Say

London--The cash injection from selling a 54.4 per cent stake of Tradepoint, bought by a consortium led by Reuters Instinet (TTW May 10, 1999), came just in time to save the beleaguered UK stock exchange, say sources. Also, because of consortium members Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan and, later in the week, Warburg Dillon Read, volumes traded on the exchange should be given a boost.
