STP and T+1: The Time Is Now
June 2004 may sound like a long way off, but now is the time to focus on the industry-mandated deadline for US financial institutions to achieve T+1 settlement cycles.
That was certainly the message at last week’s annual ISITC-IOA forum in Boston, where panelists and participants alike insisted that financial firms need to start implementing STP solutions as a stepping stone to get to T+1.
