Oz Issues Electricity Exchange Specs; Reuters, Tibco, Telerate Likely To Bid
TRANSACTION SYSTEMS
Australia last week issued a request for tenders (RFT) for an electricity trading and dispatch system. The tender invitation is part of a project to establish an open and competitive national market for electricity trading and dispatching, which is scheduled to be operational by late 1997.
Dow Jones Telerate, Reuters and Tibco are expected to submit bids for the project, as are a number of domestic software developers. Reuters will pair with Logica and Tibco will team with Fujitsu in order to
