IBM recently debuted updated Unix and Microsoft Windows NT workstation lines. Leading the pack is Big Blue's RS/6000 43P Model 260, IBM's first 64-bit, symmetric multiprocessor (SMP) system. The Unix/RISC platform is based on IBM's new Power3 chip, while the new RS/6000 43P Model 150 is equipped with a 375 MHz Power PC microprocessor. The non-RISC workstation, the Intellistation Z Pro, features a 450Mhz Intel Pentium II Xeon processor running against Windows NT.
