NEW YORK--Broker-dealer Nomura Securities International is building a state-of-the-art algorithmic trading infrastructure for its new trading desk in New York that will be flexible enough for the firm to swap in and swap out third-party applications at will.

The new set-up, incorporating trade management and analytical tools as well as messaging middleware, is in the beta-testing stage now and is slated to go live by mid-April for Nomura’s program trading efforts and cash trading desk of 12
