Nextset Breaks Silence, Strikes GOLD, But What’s Next Is Unclear

PALO ALTO, Calif.--Nextset Software, brainchild of ex-Tibco CEO Simon Yencken, has emerged from a six-month "stealth period" with one new client and a second in the bag. But two of the company’s early successes have gone flat, most of its employees have been laid off, and industry sources say its operations may shrink and concentrate further.

Nextset is supplying Global Online Dealing (GOLD), an Australian FX bank-to-corporate dealing platform, with its Private Trading Exchange (PTX) system
