UK Electricity Trading Room--Built By 5 Major Vendors--Looks Like A Bank's
ENERGY TRADING
LONDON--Five technology companies have teamed up to build a model trading room for the UK electricity industry, one that virtually mirrors trading rooms found in financial institutions.
Tibco Software Inc (TSI) was joined by Caminus Corporation, Syntegra, Automated Power Exchange (APX) and Sun Microsystems to put together the trading room. The setup is designed as a skills and knowledge development centre for companies as yet unused to an electronic trading environment.
