Harborside+ Readies Block Trading Platform
CONNECTIVITY
NEW YORK--Harborside+ is readying a launch of its large block equity trading indications of interest (IOI) system by the end of this month and has signed up approximately 70 securities firms--one third of them sell side, say officials at the broker/dealership created by Jefferies & Co.
Earlier this year, Jefferies & Co. announced that it was reintroducing its confidential block-trading system, which was originally known as @Harborside in 1999, but shut down in late 2000 (TTW, Feb. 11).
