G30 Report Takes Aim at Back-Office Practices

LONDON--A Washington-based think tank, Group of Thirty (G30), released a report that it hopes will hasten the automation and interoperability of global clearing and settlement practices via 20 recommendations for improvement.

G30, which is comprised of leaders from central banking, private finance and academia, hopes that setting out its proposals as a plan of action will cause clearing and settlement practices to evolve faster. The report centers its recommendations on three areas: improving
