BMA Plans to Offer Central Matching Hub for Messaging

NEW YORK--The Bond Market Association (BMA) is making plans for a central matching hub that would create a common message interface among alternative trading systems (ATSs), order management systems (OMSs), and virtual matching utilities (VMUs).

A group composed of 33 firms in the fixed-income space, from brokers to custodians, is compiling a request for information (RFI), which will be presented to the BMA's Online Bond Steering Committee (OBSC), and then turned into a request for proposal (RFP)
