DWT 2005 Showcases User Needs

LONDON—Front-burner concerns such as the demands of low latency for algorithmic trading and the impact of electronic trading upon the future of traders emerged at last week’s DWT 2005 London exhibition and conference.

These and other matters surfaced via panel discussions at the annual event, which attracted 470 participants, most of whom are trading technology staff from major user firms.

On the low-latency front, firms are shrinking latencies by cutting out processes and relocating their servers
