Nortel to Run SFTI Network Operations Center

CONTINUITY AND RECOVERY

NEW YORK--The Secure Financial Transaction Infrastructure (SFTI) network has opened a network operations center (NOC) more than 500 miles from New York City, operated by Canadian telecommunications provider Nortel Networks.

The facility, the second in the SFTI system, is currently operating on an eight-hour shift, taking full control of SFTI’s eight telecom access centers through an out-of-band monitoring network, says Steve Romano, senior vice president and general manager for SFTI.
