Montreal Exchange Goes Live With Electronic Trading
TRANSACTION SYSTEMS
MONTREAL--The Montreal Exchange went live recently with GL Trade's GLWIN front-end trading system and says the system will aid an estimated 100 percent increase in market participants by the end of the year.
The exchange, a member of the Globex derivatives exchange alliance, decided to migrate from open outcry to electronic trading last month and went live on Oct. 1 with ten-year Canadian Government bond futures--the first product line traded on its Montreal Automated System.
