Marketwatch Feed Piggybacks On Broadcast TV Signal

Data Broadcasting Corp. is testing the distribution of its Marketwatch financial quotation service over conventional broadcast television channels. The broadcast product, which will complement the satellite and cable distribution of Marketwatch, will ride over the vertical blanking interval (VBI) of select regional broadcast channels across North America.
VBI technology takes advantage of the 22 extra lines of blank information inserted between each complete screen of television broadcast
