Thomson Signs Daiwa; Launches Japanese Version

Daiwa deployed the English version of Thomson One in its Tokyo office at the end of 2006. However, Thomson officials say that the vendor's plans for a Japanese-language product were the key to securing Daiwa's business, which suggests that Daiwa could upgrade to the Japanese language product in due course.

The vendor began developing Thomson One Japan in 2005 with a team of 200 staff working across translation, coding, symbology, mapping and project management, says Chris McAllum, Thomson
