The introduction of the analytics engine provides trading floors with the ability to execute their trading strategies in a more sophisticated fashion, says Stuart Grant, business development manager at Sybase. It allows sell-side trading desks to react quicker to unexpected events in the markets, he says. "Having the volume of data that RAP can keep online available to the trading desk will ensure that organizations can adapt their strategies in near-real time by being able to use the algorithms
