"The market is moving from things being extreme to mainstream," says Geva Perry, general manager for cloud computing at GigaSpaces.

According to Perry, requirements such as extreme scalability, performance and reliability are no longer just for the high-performance user.

"There's a broader section of the market that needs those requirements," Perry says, adding that even though the new version appeals to a new type of user, XAP's capabilities still meet the needs of the most demanding users.
