Analysts Upbeat on WSS-Trema Merger

NEW YORK—Reactions among industry observers have been initially upbeat to the recently announced merger of Wall Street Systems (WSS) and European treasury software vendor Trema.

Warburg Pincus, a U.S. private equity house that owns WSS, will purchase Trema for an undisclosed amount. The combined company will operate as Wall Street Systems.

London-based Trema was established in 1992 with the financial backing of several investors, including InvestCorp, The Carlyle Group, ABS Ventures and Norsk
