FPL Preps Algo Schema Launch

A collection of 15 firms have been beta-testing the new markup language since late July and "a number of companies" have already implemented FIXATDL, says Kevin Houstoun, co-chair of the FPL Global Technical Committee and consultant to HSBC. Houstoun declines to name the firms.

So far, there has been no "substantial negative feedback from the beta testing" that would require any technical changes to the markup language, says Houstoun.

The markup language is designed to support algorithmic trading
