An STP Renaissance?

At last year's Sibos conference there were jokes that STP stood for "straight to paper" rather than "straight through processing." You know what they say—every joke has an element of truth. Industry-wide STP initiatives have failed and the topic is virtually absent from this year's Sibos agenda or any other major industry conference. Is STP dead in the water? It shouldn't be. Changes in the broker/dealer market should give rise to the next wave of STP.
