After five years of development and one total re-think, Windows Vista—née Longhorn—has finally seen the light of day. Well, partially. Microsoft has been releasing Community Technology Previews (CTPs) since last September, and in February of this year, the software giant announced that its new operating system would be available in six editions, all but one of which will ship in both 32- and 64-bit architectures.

Vista's rollout has been delayed until the first half of 2007, and it's unclear
