Big Data's Different Dimensions

This morning's live panel was broadcast from Incisive Media's studio in Soho, London.

Like most technological neologisms, Big Data's definition is hard to pin down in a broad sense. Clearly, there is Gartner's Three Vs definition ─ velocity, variety and volume ─ which describes the way in which it is composed, but the fourth V of value is something that's still in contention.

A lot of value derivation can ride on the angle you take with Big Data. Panelists at the Waters Big Data Virtual Summit 2012 discussed this at length during a live event. On the buy side, the consensus
