Attack of the Pods
In the movie, aliens come to earth, capture the locals and replace them with replicas that develop out of plant-like pods. These replicas have all the memories of the victims, but can only live about five years.
When I heard about portable datacenters referred to as "pods," I was a bit wary of something that sounds too good to be true.
I'm not anti-pod-they must serve an existing demand, or the vendors wouldn't be bringing them to market (see story, this issue).
They definitely have their benefits
