J.C. Flowers & Co. Buys Chi-X Australia, Chi-X Japan, Chi-Tech

Latest acquisition builds on portfolio of investments into Asia-Pacific region for J.C. Flowers & Co.

Chi-X Australia and Chi-X Japan are both subsidiaries of Chi-X Global and alternative trading venues in their respective markets. Chi-Tech is the technology services unit of Chi-X Global.

J.C. Flowers & Co., which has offices in New York and London, has made investments in the Asia-Pacific region for almost 20 years. The firm invested in Shinsei Bank of Japan, KT Capital Corporation, a finance company based in South Korea, and Sicom, a financial solutions and advisory provider based in India.

In total, the firm has $10 billion invested in 42 portfolio companies spanning 15 countries.

"Their superior technology, service and trade-execution performance will continue to drive positive change and improve markets where they operate. We hope to accelerate this growth through continued enhancements to the platform, including new investment products and markets, and by leveraging our strong relationships throughout the Asia-Pacific region."
