Launching the Sell-Side Technology Awards 2014

sst2014-logo

Much like their sister event, the Buy-Side Technology Awards, the Sell-Side Technology Awards are open to third-party technology vendor firms and products servicing the businesses that make up the sell side in institutional financial markets. The awards run the traditional gamut of financial technology in this niche, covering compliance, execution management systems, risk initiatives and market surveillance, incorporating emerging technologies such as those associated with cloud and big data.

As with last year, the awards operate on a call-for-entry basis, with nominations opening on the morning of January 20, and running through to the end of business on February 21. Please note that these awards are designed to recognize excellence in the third-party vendor sector, and as such, banks (including securities services divisions), brokerages and buy-side firms are not eligible to enter. Entries should be submitted through our web-based system, accessible through the Sell-Side Technology Awards website.

The entries in each category will be shortlisted by a panel of judges, comprising a number of executives from the industry and senior journalists from Waters. After that, a final round of voting will take place, with the winners announced at a dinner following the North American Trading Architecture Summit on April 15.

The SST Awards 2014 website will be live from Monday January 20, along with the categories to enter and a detailed description of each. Advice on how to enter the awards, the process, and our other programs for different sectors will be available on the website. A list of last year's winners and selected coverage from the event is listed below.

In the meantime, if you have any questions regarding the awards, please feel free to contact me (james.rundle@incisivemedia.com) or Waters' editor-in-chief, Victor Anderson (victor.anderson@incisivemedia.com). You can also follow @SellSideTech on Twitter for regular updates.
