Merrill to Offer In-House Linux Hosting

NEW YORK—Merrill Lynch is aggressively embracing the Linux operating system and is readying an internal hosting service to help its technologists get up and running with Linux faster, says Rick Carey, the chief technical architect at Merrill Lynch. He hopes the project will be ready by the end of the year.
