EUREX US NOW ACCESSIBLE TO EUROPEAN FIRMS
Traders in Belgium, Finland, Germany, Gibraltar, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland, and the U.K. can now trade futures and options on the Chicago-based Eurex US, which launched Feb. 8 (TTW, Feb. 9). Eurex US officials say 24 European firms are now connected, bringing the total to 140. However, the market, which reported 39,441 contracts traded on its first day, slipped to 19,948 by Feb. 26.
