SunGard Unit Picks Up Protegent

SALT LAKE CITY—SunGard Online Invest ment Systems, a division of SunGard, has acquired Hingham, Mass.-based Protegent, a provider of supervision and surveillance technology for securities trading.
With the acquisition, SunGard will create new links to Protegent’s BrokerAudit, which analyzes the quality of supervision and practice in securities transactions, and provides a platform for analysis. Protegent, in turn, will join SunGard’s existing real-time Synapse product suite, which currently
