Sun to Acquire SeeBeyond for $387M

NEW YORK-Sun Microsystems' news last week that it will acquire SeeBeyond Technology for $387 million will go a long way toward making Sun's servers more enticing via service-oriented architecture (SOA) software fine-tuned for them, officials say.

In a surprise move at Sun's JavaOne Developer Conference in San Francisco, Sun announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase SeeBeyond. The agreement, already approved by both boards of directors, will give SeeBeyond stockholders
