Nasdaq to Buy Instinet

Nasdaq Stock Market officials announced on Friday, April 22, that they will be acquiring Reuters subsidiary Instinet in a deal that values Instinet at $1.878 billion or $5.44 per share. Nasdaq will only keep the Inet ECN operations, officials say.
