Creditex, CreditTrade Agree to Merge

LONDON—As Creditex and CreditTrade officials touted their merger last week, industry observers point to the transaction as evidence that the credit derivatives market is moving into the electronic trading space.
Last week, the credit derivatives inter-dealer brokers Creditex and CreditTrade made it official as they announced a merger to form Creditex Group. The group will be headed by Sunil Hirani, who is currently the CEO of Creditex, and is slated to execute over $2 trillion in notional in 2006
