Treasury Dealer Backed by Morgan Stanley and BNP Paribas

TRANSACTION SYSTEMS

LONDON--An electronic transaction system for short-term money market products is being set up with backing from Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, BNP Paribas and venture capitalist Springboard.

The trading platform is called Treasury Dealer and is being developed by chief executive officer Ian Forrest, who was previously the co-head of the European treasury division of BNP, and Matt Thomas, who was the treasurer for BNP Finance.

Treasury Dealer enables participants to manage money market trading
