Dublin-based Iona Technologies will be making its Orbix object request broker (ORB) compliant with the Corba 2.3 product standard--a key part of the Corba branding program being carried out by the Open Group and the Object Management Group (OMG); Orbix will conform to Corba 2.3 by the end of the year. Corba 2.3 will be pitched as a product that will increase the ability of organizations to integrate new applications with existing legacy and object-oriented applications within the enterprise
