Security has become a major technology concern for trading firms, but during a recent visit to a new trading floor of a major investment bank branch in New York, Insider observed perhaps the world's largest and most secure coatroom. The bank, which is undergoing an extensive interior makeover, says the design of the coatroom--roughly the length and width of a train car--was by special request of the traders. The open-ended, open-air coatroom is lined with silver hangers, impossible to remove
