HSBC Gets a 'Fierce' Makeover

LONDON—For the past three months, HSBC has been applying a new discipline to its trading technology infrastructure development that will govern what systems can be built, and how internal and third-party technologies interact with each other, officials tell DWT.
The new discipline is embodied in an asset-class agnostic, core reference architecture, dubbed Finance Instrument Enterprise Resources for Consolidation and Execution, or Fierce, according to HSBC officials.
