Mugger had the great pleasure of watching his friend serve on a panel discussion focused on Y2K and financial services a couple of weekends ago in D.C. for the World Future Society. Although Mugger's friend tried valiantly to keep the discussion focused on the nuts and bolts of the problem, the discussion veered into areas beyond the vagaries of financial technology. A US government representative said Y2K for banks is not a big deal and several in the audience were ready to tear the official
