Next Takes A New Approach: Eyes Wall Street Vertically

Next Computer Inc. has taken its marketing strategy to a vertical format, abandoning its geographical selling divisions and designating the financial services industry as one of only three vertical markets it will target. The move comes some 18 months after the one-time vendor of proprietary workstations recast itself as a vendor of software only -- and suffered a number of rejections at the hands of Wall Street customers.
According to a spokesperson, Next shifted to the vertical marketing
